Williamsport Community Darkroom Six-week Creative Photography & Processes Workshop Instructor: Ralph Wilson Mondays 6pm–9pm. April 4–May 9, 2016 Skill Level: Novice (no previous experience needed). All materials and equipment are provided.

Working with black and white film, you will learn elements of composition and the factors involved in achieving proper exposure along with a touch of the history of photography. You will also develop your own film and make enlargements of your favorite shots.

With this series of workshops you will be introduced to beginning photographic concepts with the emphasis on creativity with an introduction to technical skills. You will learn you will learn your way around a 35mm film camera and how to integrate those controls to many digital cameras.

Pre-requisites: * No previous photography knowledge required * Limited to three participants * Students under 16 are free but must be accompanied by a paid adult sponsor * Minimum 12 years of age

Subjects covered: * rules of composition * 35mm camera functions * black and white darkroom processing, including: * film developing * contact printing * enlargements * cropping * burn & dodge
