Inner Alchemy: The Practice of Taoist Healing Arts

  • Location: Community Room

Melian McKee just recently spent three-months studying with a Taoist master in rural China, and she is overwhelmed with a passion for sharing what she learned … yet equally overwhelmed by how to do so.

She says, “I cannot write a speech, I abhor talking in front of groups, I don’t know how I can possibly impart the depth of what I learned, and saw, and experienced. I don’t know how to express the magnitude of what I have yet to learn. These things are beyond language. Yet for the first time in my life, I feel like I have something to say. Something that applies to everyone, whether you practice Tai Qi, or yoga, or nothing at all. I have something that must be said, even if I can’t do it eloquently … even if no one listens.

So, I will make some tea, I will rent a room, and I will invite you to show up, to listen, to see, to ask questions, and to take away whatever is useful to you.

The talk will be held on the ground floor of the Pajama Factory in the Community Room. This event is free and open to the public.
