We are going to begin classes at the Clay Studio with a Naked Raku and Horsehair Workshop. Students will create 2 coil constructed forms, in the Native American tradition, and experience 2 types of raku firing. Raku firing involves taking pieces out of a hot kiln and placing them in combustible materials for a unique surface effect of smoke penetration in the clay, and/or glaze surface.

The class will be limited to 12 students (age 15 and up). No experience necessary. Cost: $ 75 per student—includes instruction, clay, glazes and firing. Protective gear will be provided for the firing. Studio will provide all tools.

Registration and full payment must be made before the first day of class. Register early, as classes are limited and will fill quickly.
