For one night only, both local and national artists come together to present their final works.
Please join us for the culmination of the Pajama Factory’s 8-week Artist-in-Residence program. The artists, who hail from Las Vegas, New York City, State College, Bloomsburg and our very own Williamsport, will be presenting readings and performances in PJF Community Room at the top of every hour while visual and fine artists will be on display in the Factory Works Gallery (@FactoryWorksGallery) located on the 2nd floor, Studio 9-210N.
Chosen to participate in this year’s program through a curated process, each artist was asked to provide one outreach component for the public and state what they hoped to accomplish during their time at the Factory. They have created works in mediums as varied as painting, fiber arts, printmaking, digital and new media, photography, writing and performance. They represent a diverse array of practices emblematic of the spirit the Pajama Factory Artist-in-Residence has embodied since it inception in 2009.
This year’s artists are: Rachel Cualedare, Kay Leigh Farley, Rowan Shaffer, Sigfried Aragona, Sarah Foster, Sophie Najjar, and Sheilagh Weymouth. The artists themselves will be in attendance to discuss their work. Light refreshments will be served.
We hope you’ll join us, Friday, August 2nd from 6 to 9 pm, for this final closing exhibition. To find statements regarding their work as well as biographical information, please visit the 2019 Final Exhibition page on the air.pajamafactory.net website.

4/15 is World Art Day – how do you want to celebrate?
World Art Day is an international celebration of the fine arts. The goal of this day, is to appreciate art in general, and to spread world-wide enthusiasm and awareness for the arts. Here are just a few easy and enjoyable ways you can celebrate:
Get a group of friends together and visit one our local Museums and Art galleries.
Get the kids involved! Teach them about the different forms of art and provide them with a hands-on way to experience the creation of artwork.
Purchase a piece of artwork for your home or office.
Wherever you go, make a conscious effort to be on the lookout for artwork. You will be amazed at how many works of art are prominently displayed, yet you walk by it everyday without noticing.
Consider Sponsoring an Artist!
World Art Day is also our Day of Giving for the Pajama Factory Artist-in-Residence Program!
Another way to celebrate World Art Day would be to sponsor an artist for the Pajama Factory Artist-in-Residence Program. We’ve raised $900 for each artist so far – only $542 remains for each of the 6 artist to be fully fund for 2019. Consider giving a gift (of any size!) on 4/15 to honor this important day.
